Our Science Curriculums

At Sacred Heart School, we offer a diverse and engaging science education program that equips students with the knowledge and skills to explore the world around them. Our science curriculums are designed to stimulate curiosity and foster a love for learning through interactive and hands-on experiences.

Interactive Science – Pearson (Grades K-5)
The Interactive Science curriculum by Pearson is a comprehensive program for grades K-5 that emphasizes inquiry-based learning and real-world connections. It features interactive lessons, engaging visuals, and hands-on activities that cover core scientific concepts in life science, physical science, and earth science. This curriculum helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while exploring the natural world.

Nitty Gritty Science (6th Grade)
For 6th graders, we use the Nitty Gritty Science curriculum, which provides a thorough exploration of Earth Science. This program offers a detailed, standards-aligned approach to studying topics such as geology, meteorology, and astronomy. With its hands-on experiments and interactive lessons, Nitty Gritty Science helps students build a solid foundation in scientific inquiry and observation.

Middle School Health (6th Grade)
Our Middle School Health curriculum covers essential topics to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This program includes units on Safety and Injury Prevention, Mental Health, Drugs and Tobacco, and Alcohol, designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and lead healthy lives. Through engaging activities and discussions, students learn about personal health, wellness, and responsible choices.

Interactive STEM Classes
Our Interactive STEM classes provide students with opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on projects and collaborative activities. These classes encourage problem-solving, innovation, and creativity, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. By integrating technology and engineering principles, we prepare students for future STEM careers and foster a deeper understanding of how these fields intersect.

Together, these curriculums offer a comprehensive and engaging science education, preparing students to think critically, solve problems, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
